"Winter Feels Good" is a program developed by SnowSports Industries America to show how non-motorized winter sports - snowboarding, alpine skiing, cross country skiing and snowshoeing - can help adults and children achieve health and fitness through the winter months, no matter what their current fitness level is.
Remember when you were a kid? Do you remember long days of play outdoors - both summer and winter! Great for body and soul! Do you still see that today? My guess would be - No, you don't. Both children and adults lead much more sedentary lifestyles today... Long hours at work & school, TV, video games, computers... The evidence is there... or should I say - the evidence is in our waistlines and in our attitudes! Overweight & stress - not a good combination! Inactive pastimes are hurting both our health and our state of mind. It's time to turn off the TV, the computer, the video games! This winter, let's take a positive step towards better health and well-being! Get up off that couch and become reacquainted with the great outdoors and all it has to offer!
